Is Bread good for Diabetes ?

People with Type 2 diabetes should avoid eating white bread.

Choose whole-grain breads — the first ingredient on the label should be “whole.” Like whole wheat or whole oat.

Always Read the Nutrition Label :  Choose a high-fiber bread, with at least 3g fiber/slice.

Count Calories and Carbs :  Choose a bread that has no more than 15g of carbohydrates and 100 calories per slice.

If a slice of bread contains more than 100 calories then have one bread instead of two.

Avoid Breads that list sweeteners such as sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, dextrose, or molasses - among the first ingredients.

Don’t eat bread by itself without protein, as this can cause blood sugars to spike.
