We have some good news for those of you who don’t have the time to hit the gym every day. Even without leaving the comfort of your home, and in whatever little time you can manage to squeeze out of your jam-packed day, you can still give your body a complete workout.
We have made a list of 5 exercises that completely tone your body and leave you feeling just like you’ve had a good long workout session.
The first and most important part of toning the body is the core. This is best achieved with planks. To perform this, get on the floor in the push up position, but do so with your elbow touching the floor and not your palm. Keep your body straight so as not to let your stomach dip or your butt be raised above the body. Hold your body in this straight, parallel to ground position for as long as you can.
To perform squats, place your legs at a distance, such that the distance between them is the same as the width of your shoulders. Now, stretch your arms in front of you, parallel to the ground. Slowly get into the sitting position, and stand. Do this for 3 sets of 10 repetitions each.
Standing with your feet together, start this exercise by moving one leg ahead while bending the other at the knees. Come back to the first position, and then back to the next leg. Do this for a total of 10 times in sets of three each.
This exercise involves a simple push-up then standing again in the squat position to perform a jump. Then come back into the push-up position. As hard as this exercise might seem, it is the best for the core of the body.
- Glute Bridge
Start this exercise by lying flat on your back. Then placing your foot firmly on the ground, press against your heels in such a manner that it forces your body to rise. Let the body rise over the floor, all this while making sure the upper back and the shoulder stays in contact with the floor.
These are five exercises that will tone your whole body and strengthen your core. We hope you’d try them out!
